During this tour we focus on the Colosseum and the Roman Forum. Julius Caesar, Nero, Cicero, and Mark Antony. See where they lived, where their successes and tragedies took place, and learn about what they did for entertainment.

See the Capitol Hill, one of the seven hills of Rome, the city hall square designed by Michelangelo, and from there you'll be ravished by the best view of the Roman Forum. Walking in the Forum you'll learn how life worked in ancient times and you'll relive the experience of Ancient Rome. See the Senate House, the Temple of Saturn, the Temple of Julius Cesar, the Temple and the House of the Vestals, the Temple of Antonino Pio, the Arch of Septimio Severus, the Arch of Titus, the ancient basilicas and much more. The highlight is the Colosseum, the outstanding amphitheatre dating back to the first century, where thousands of animals and gladiators performed their tragic games. During our visit you'll understand how the Romans managed to build this grandiose amphitheatre and how they organized different kinds of entertainment.

At the end of the tour you can continue the visit on your own, we can point out which direction to take to see St. Peter in Chains (Michelangelo's Moses) or the Circus Maximus or Trajan's Markets.

The Art of Guiding: It is the skill of selecting information and varying it for different audiences. It is the skill of presenting in a simple and precise way. It is the skill of allowing the visitor to look and to see and to understand. It is a skill which, if well performed, is invisible. If it is missing, then it is all too evident.
