We start the tour at the Janiculum Hill, indeed the most breathtaking view of Rome. We walk down the hill to visit the characteristic district of Trastevere, taking a stroll among blazing mosaics and eye-catching narrow alleys populated by old artisans, modern inn-keepers, cooks and pizza makers.

Visit the first church dedicated to The Virgin Mary:St. Mary's in Trastevere, then cross Rome's oldest bridge to get to Tiberina Island, once the Island of Aesculapius, god of medicine.

Then visit Jewish Rome: envision the tragic memories of the Ghetto, enclosed within high walls by Pope Paul IV in 1555. At the end of the tour, feel free to visit the Synagogue and its Museum on your own (tours are made available by the Synagogue only).

Later, relax and taste delicious Roman-Jewish delicacies such as fried artichokes or enjoy a meal at a kosher restaurant

The Art of Guiding: It is the skill of selecting information and varying it for different audiences. It is the skill of presenting in a simple and precise way. It is the skill of allowing the visitor to look and to see and to understand. It is a skill which, if well performed, is invisible. If it is missing, then it is all too evident.
