PROFESSIONAL
· To talk about Art is, for me, a passion and
an intense emotion. It's a way to relive the
excitement of discovering, every day, through the
eyes of someone who is seeing Rome for the very first
time. I love my work because it transforms History
into something real, into everyday life. I also love
guiding children, filling that History with joy!
· I graduated in Art History, from the University
of Rome, in 1992. I'm certified to teach History
of Art in high-schools.
· I have been a Licensed Tourist Guide since
1999. I am constantly being updated through new publications
on my city and its artists. I attended refresher courses
and conferences, especially concerning archaeology:
For years I've been attending courses by Prof.
Filippo Coarelli, archaeologist, and one of the leading
experts today in Ancient Roman topography.
· Today I work mainly as a private guide, for
individuals and families. I operate also with groups,
in particular for conventions and cultural tourism.
I am also employed by ministries, superintendents
and specialized agencies to conduct guided tours for
diplomatic personalities of international status,
and heads of state on either private or official visit
to Rome.
SOMETHING MORE ABOUT ME
· Free time: I read literature (I prefer the
classics): history, art critique, fiction. I cook
for friends, do Raku ceramics; I enjoy long walks
in the country and taking my little nephew for a stroll.
· My ideal vacation: In the silent Tuscan countryside,
on a mountain bike in the wooded land of the Etruscans,
wandering through medieval villages, chatting by a
fire with friends.
· The Rome I love: I prefer the great archaeological
areas that are immersed in vegetation, as nature invades
the ruins. I adore the small art galleries, the less
visited areas, and the Pantheon, always!
